Semen Test – PSA (Rape, Infidelity)

This semen test detects PSA in human seminal fluid.

Rape and infidelity are common all over the world. Due to the test’s reliability and sensitivity, authorities use the semen test in rape suspicions and private investigators use it in infidelity investigations. Proving them requires a reliable and sensitive semen detection test. The test can be conducted from the vagina, or other skin areas suspected of containing semen, such as around the mouth or anus. The test can also be conducted on materials. It detects seminal fluid stains on underwear or sheets.

The semen detection test which is a PSA test is the best test for the detection of even small quantities of semen. PSA is a protein secreted by the prostate that is abundant in male semen but very little in female vaginal fluids. The test is based on the utilization of the antibody produced for PSA and identifies human PSA from solutions of smear samples at concentrations above 4 ng / ml, which is considered the indicative lower limit for semen detection.

How to perform a test:

Vagina sample:

• Pull out the rod sticks, a plastic cup with 30 ml of clean water, and a clock or timer.
• Remove excess mucus from the endocervical area with rods and push the sampling stick deep into the cervix canal until only a small part of the stick is visible.
• Turn the rod stick firmly 360 degrees in the same direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) and leave it in place for 15 seconds. Do not moisten the cotton ball with saline or anything else
  before sampling.
• Pull the cotton swab out, taking care to prevent contamination from the cells outside the cervix or vagina.
• Immerse the swab in a water cup (30 ml of water) and mix well by swirling the cotton swab 10 times. Let the swab stand in the water cup for at least 2 minutes.

Semen detection test PSA test, sample of other objects:

• Allow the swab to soak in clean water and apply the test object three times (liquid or dry stain)
• Immerse the swab in a water cup (30 ml of water) and mix well by swirling the cotton swab 10 times. Let the swab stand in the water cup for at least 2 minutes.
• If the stain is in the fabric (garment, sheet, etc.), pull the stain into the area or cut it off and immerse it in a minimum of 30 ml water cup

Examination:

• The sample obtained above shall be examined immediately or at the latest within one hour. Take the test strip out of its bag and immerse it for 10-15 seconds in the sample vertically at a depth of about a centimeter. Max line must not
  get wet.
• Place the strip horizontally on the table and start the timer.
• Read the result after 5 minutes (no longer after more than 10 minutes) interpreting it as follows:

a) The result is positive when two lines (C and T) are displayed. The T-line may be weaker than the C line.
b) The result is negative when only the C line is displayed.
(c) The test has failed when no line C is displayed. Repeat the test with a new strip.
