Early pregnancy test 10 mIU/mL detects the hormone hCG in urine. The low cut-off is suitable for early pregnancy testing, but detection depends on the hCG concentration in the sample and the timing of the test. A negative result at a very early stage does not rule out pregnancy.

When should the pregnancy test be used?

The test may be used before the expected period if the urine hCG concentration has already exceeded the test cut-off. For early testing, the first urine of the morning is usually the best sample. If the result is negative but the period does not begin, repeat the test after 48–72 hours or follow the advice of a healthcare professional.

How to perform the test

1. Collect urine in a clean, dry container.
2. Open the foil pouch immediately before testing and remove the dipstick.
3. Immerse the sample end in urine for 15 seconds. Do not pass the MAX line.
4. Remove the strip and place it on a flat, dry surface.
5. Read the result at 3 minutes. Always follow the instructions for use for the final permitted reading time.

Interpreting the result

• Positive: a line appears in both the control area C and the test area T. A faint T line is also interpreted as positive.
• Negative: only the C line appears.
• Invalid: the C line is absent. Repeat the test with a new dipstick.

A positive result indicates that the sample contains hCG above the test cut-off. The result alone does not assess the duration or progression of pregnancy. Contact a healthcare professional when confirmation or further advice is needed.
