The men’s fertility test helps determine if the sperm count is normal, improving chances of pregnancy. It confirms the need for fertility treatment. This rapid test measures SP-10 protein concentration in sperm as an indicator of sperm count. The default fertility assumption is that there are at least 15 million functioning sperm per milliliter of semen. Sperm concentration testing in semen is clinically used to assess male fertility. The most common cause of male infertility is unusually low production of functioning sperm. Other reasons include overproduction of inactive, weak, or misshapen sperm, a large number of fertilization-inhibiting cells in semen, or other physiological factors. Medical and physiological reasons, such as stress, recent high fever or other illness, and sudden dietary changes, can also hinder normal sperm production. Approximately 15% of women fail to conceive optimally even with well-timed intercourse, with 40% of these cases due to male infertility. Infertility affects about 10-15% of couples of reproductive age, with half of men having such poor sperm quality that it affects fertility.
