Fertility test for men OSP-902H is a qualitative SP-10 rapid test for home use. It detects SP-10 protein in sperm acrosomes and assesses sperm concentration against a cut-off of 15 million sperm/ml. It does not provide an exact sperm count.
What does the test show?
The result is read from the control line C and test line T. The test does not measure sperm motility, morphology or other factors affecting fertility. A result below the cut-off does not automatically mean infertility, and a result of at least 15 million/ml does not by itself confirm normal fertility.
How to perform the test
Avoid sexual activity for 3–7 days before sample collection. Collect the semen sample directly in the supplied cup without lubricants or contact with hands, paper or other materials. Allow it to liquefy at room temperature for approximately 60 minutes.
Dilute the sample according to the instructions and add two full drops of the diluted sample to the cassette sample well. Read the result after 5 minutes; do not interpret it after 10 minutes. Always follow the instructions supplied with the pack.
How to interpret the result
- C and T lines: sperm concentration is at least 15 million/ml. Any visible coloured T line counts, even if faint.
- C line only: sperm concentration is below 15 million/ml.
- No C line: the result is invalid. Repeat with a new test according to the instructions.
If the result is repeatedly abnormal or you are concerned about fertility, consult a doctor or other healthcare professional for further assessment.
SP-10 test or colour test?
OSP-902H uses SP-10 protein detection with a C/T-line result. The OSC-902H sperm concentration test at home uses colour comparison and a 15-minute sample liquefaction stage. Both compare sperm concentration with 15 million/ml, but their methods and sample handling differ. Neither replaces a full laboratory semen analysis.
Pack contents and storage
The pack contains a test cassette, collection cup, sample transfer device, dilution buffer, tube holder and instructions. You will also need a timer. No sample needs to be sent to a laboratory.
Store the test in its sealed foil pouch at 2–30 °C. Do not freeze or use after the expiry date.
