16-Panel Surface Swab Drug Test for Powders and Residues is designed for situations where a suspicious substance needs to be identified quickly and clearly. Whether the material is a loose powder, a crushed tablet, a drink or residue found on a surface, this test provides a rapid preliminary screening result in approximately 5 minutes.
This surface swab drug test analyses the material itself rather than biological samples. It is intended for identifying drug residues in powders, surfaces and liquids — not for assessing personal drug use.
What can be tested?
- Suspicious powders and dry residues
- Crushed tablets or individual pills
- Drinks (after dilution according to instructions)
- Surface residues collected using the swab method
- Plant material such as tobacco or fibres
How the surface swab drug test works
For surface testing, the test strips are swabbed across the suspected area and then placed in clean water. For powders or crushed tablets, a small amount is mixed with water before inserting the test strips. Liquid samples such as drinks are diluted prior to testing. Results can be read after approximately 5 minutes.
The device is designed for straightforward use and does not require laboratory equipment.
Result interpretation
- Two lines (C and T): Negative result
- Control line (C) only: Positive screening result
- No control line: Invalid test – repeat with a new device
This is a screening test. Positive results may be confirmed by laboratory analysis if required.

Frequently asked questions about the surface swab drug test for powders and residues
Can this test be used on a powder found at a party?
Yes. A small amount of the powder can be dissolved in water and screened according to the instructions. Results are available in approximately 5 minutes.
Does the test work for a single pill?
Yes. A crushed portion of the tablet can be mixed with water and analysed using the same procedure.
Can a suspicious drink be tested?
Yes. The drink should be diluted according to the instructions before testing with the device.
Does this test show whether a person has used drugs?
No. The surface swab drug test for powders and residues analyses materials and surface traces. It does not assess personal drug use. For biological screening, urine or saliva tests are required.
