PoolCheck® 3 in 1 pool water test is the perfect test for pool water testing. It only takes 20 seconds to take the test, and you get 3 main readings on the quality of the pool or spa water. Compare the colour of the test iron with the colour map on the side of the jar and you can see the test result and whether the result is good or bad. 3in1 Pool Check ® specially designed to operate in swimming pools with either chlorine or bromine systems.

Swimming pool water should be tested at least once a week to ensure that the pool chemicals work well. Before measuring, it is a good idea to circulate the pool water for about 2 hours.

The test detects:

  • Total alkalinity: 0, 40, 80, 120, 180, 240, 360 ppm (mg / l) The total alkalinity of the pool water should be between 80 and 120 ppm
  • Free chlorine: 0 , 0,5, 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 ppm (mg / l). The recommended amount of free chlorine in water is from 0.6 to 1.0 ppm
  • pH: 6,0, 6,4, 6,8, 7,2, 7,6, 8,2, 9,0, pH. Pool water pH should be between 7.2 and 7.4

The package contains 50 tests.

Quality and monitoring of pool water

The act on the quality and monitoring of pool water falls within the administrative branch of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has issued
Under Section 32 of the Health Protection Act of the Pool Water Regulation (763/1994). The Regulation lays down more detailed rules for the use of swimming pools, spas and similar
health and quality requirements for the quality of pool water in establishments
Control.

In addition to a human disease or other health disorder, the Health Protection Act refers to the occurrence of a factor or circumstance that can reduce healthiness. Conditions causing health hazards in swimming pools, spas and swimming pools may include pool water, dirty surfaces and indoor air

Main requirement: there must be no micro-organisms, parasites or any substances in the pool water in such quantities as to harm health.

Micro-organisms (also commonly referred to as microbes) include bacteria, viruses, moulds, yeasts. There may also be other small-sized eye-to-eye organisms such as primitive animals, worms, ameebas. The majority of microbes are common species found in the environment and in human beings, but some microbes are also pathogens (pathogens).

In pool water conditions, chlorine has proved to be the most practical microbial repeller. Of the chlorine occurrences, the so-called free chlorine has been found to be the most effective disinfectant.

Water purification intensified by acidification and adequate water change (i.e. replacement water) are also essential methods for removing moderately resistant organisms (such as amoeba) of chlorine.

The majority of microbes already die in very low levels of chlorine. Since there is always free chlorine in pool water that fights microbes, the microbiological quality requirements for pool water may have been limited. Only three microbiological parameters are regularly examined for pool water.
