Anaemia test to determine whether the body’s iron level is normal or too low. The anaemia test measures the level of ferritine. Too low ferritine levels indicate iron deficiency and anaemia. In young women, the cause may be heavy menstruation or pregnancy. Other causes of iron deficiency may include stomach ulcers, bowel cancer, or bleeding caused by an accident. It is then recommended that the stomach and, if necessary, intestinal endearation be looked after the bleeding site.
Iron deficiency is usually not life-threatening, but it reduces quality of life and learning ability.

Treatment of iron deficiency anaemia
To increase hemoglobin and replenish the body’s iron stores, iron therapy is initiated. Several different preparations are available in pharmacies. To prevent side effects, it is advisable to start iron therapy with one tablet a day or every other day. The dose is doubled after a few days. The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhoea or constination and abdominal pain. Anaemia usually corrects in a few months. Iron therapy should then be continued for a further 2-3 months in order to fill the body’s iron stores. In case of troublesome side effects of iron tablets, iron administration as a drip into a vein may be considered.
Even slow-developing significant anaemia (hemoglobin between 80 and 90 g/l) is usually treated with iron alone. A blood transfusion is only needed if anaemia causes severe symptoms in the patient.
The ferritine level that reveals anaemia can also be tested with a quick test – this is how it happens
Much has been said in recent years about how measuring hemoglobin alone does not necessarily reveal anaemia. Even if hemoglobin appears normal, low lack of stock iron, or ferritine, may speak of iron deficiency.

As with many other problems, there is a home test for ferritine testing. However, doing it requires precision and reading the results with the hawk’s gaze. Note. any iron therapy should be disassed 2 days prior to sampling.
